Farm Life

I have the patience of a rattle snake

15 September, 2026

Hello from the farm,

This is what spring looks like at Eagles Range, so

I wandered around and picked whatever was flowering and brought it inside and put it in a vase.

Meanwhile, outside, things are considerably less serene. Thankfully we have a wonderful team of working holiday makers, needing their 88 days of farm work, So our crew, when they are not running around after our chickens are helping us plant the flower farm and moving rocks (still) out of the Christmas Tree farm.

We're planting on a scale where extra hands make an enormous difference. I'm incredibly grateful for all the extra hands because this burst of warm weather has created the perfect storm. Everything, including the Christmas trees, suddenly needs planting at once. So much for my carefully planned planting schedule. Spring apparently has its own.

I hope my photos below amuse you and prove that I have the patience of a rattle snake!
